Man Found Dead at Shoreview Parking Lot ID'd

A man found dead at a business parking lot in Shoreview has been identified as Hagos Tsegay Melake, of South St. Paul, according to the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities responded around 6:40 a.m. Aug. 29 to the business on the 5700 block of Hamline Avenue on a report of a man lying in the parking lot, the sheriff's office reported. Upon arrival, deputies determined that the man was dead.
The Ramsey County Medical Examiner determined that Melake died of a gunshot wound.
Melake was last seen around 1:30 a.m. Aug. 29 leaving the Hunan Garden Restaurant on Cedar Avenue in downtown St. Paul, the sheriff's office reported. One of his financial cards was later used around 4:30 a.m. at a US Bank ATM on West Broadway in Minneapolis.
An unidentified black woman was photographed using the card, the sheriff's office reported. The woman is a person of interest.
Authorities are asking for anyone with information about the woman shown in the surveillance photos to call the sheriff's office at 651-266-7320. Anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever murdered Melake will be eligible for a reward through the Minnesota Crime Stoppers program.
