Meet Ham Lake's New Multi-Million-Dollar Man
Paul White, a 45-year-old project engineer from Ham Lake, says he's always joked about becoming a lottery winner.
He says his siblings tease him that it's the extent of his financial planning. "My siblings have given me grief for years about how I'm going to win the lottery someday," White said.
Thursday morning he found out it was no joke. White, along with two other New Jersey ticket holders will split the $448.4 million jackpot.
"I spent my whole life trying to figure out what to do when I grow up. Well now, I get to do whatever I want," he said.
White is choosing the $86 million cash option. After taxes that's about $58.3 million.
He should get his prize money in about two weeks.
