Community Thanks Minn. Veteran through Remodel

Staff Sergeant Brian Martin says he gets a lot of thanks for his military service. Martin toured in Iraq from 2005-2007, and is a member of the Army National Guard.

But Thursday's thank you isn't said in words, but said through the chisel of a hammer.

Martin's bathroom is getting remodeled by Home Depot Crews and the Brooklyn Park chapter of Beyond the Yellow Ribbon.

Volunteers are replacing the vanity, the tile on the walls and updating all the hardware. Martin says these kind actions shows him how much his service is still appreciated.

The local Yellow Ribbon chapter wrote up a grant to remodel Martin's bathroom, and the local Home Depot signed on, donating $5,000 in supplies and man power to get it done all in one day.
