Authorities ID Man Fatally Shot in South Minneapolis

Authorities have identified a man shot and killed Monday in south Minneapolis.

Frank Kent Patterson IV, 48, was fatally wounded at about 5 a.m. Monday in an apartment at 2813 Cedar Ave. S., according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner.

Patterson died from a gun shot wound to the abdomen, authorities reported.

Minneapolis police are investigating the case as a homicide.
