2 Men Found Dead After Western Wis. River Semi Crash

Authorities have found the body Wednesday of the second victim after a semi crashed into a western Wisconsin river.

The semi jack-knifed on the snow-covered road and landed in the Red Cedar River near Menomonie around 4 a.m. Tuesday.

The body of the driver, 25-year-old Batrodin Siyad, was recovered Tuesday after the crash.

The passenger, 26-year-old Mohammed Malin, was recovered Wednesday. Both men are from Minneapolis.

Recovery crews were pulled from the search Tuesday due to dangerous conditions. They resumed the search for Malin's body Wednesday morning.

According to WisDOT, authorities believe the semi was headed west on I-94 when it went through the median and into the river.

Based on information from the company, the truck was based out of Lansing, Mich.
