Salvation Army Asking for Ethnic Foods, Asian and Hispanic
The changing make-up of the Twin Cities has food shelves asking for specific foods.
The Salvation Army says ethnic foods have become a necessity at five of its eight metro food shelves.
It is specifically asking for Asian and Hispanic foods.
"When you look at projections for Twin Cities on ethnic growth and immigrant growth its going to continue to grow at a high rate, so we want to keep up," says Major Jeff Strickler of the Twin Cities Salvation Army.
Below are shopping lists for Asian and Hispanic foods and the specific Salvation Army locations that need them.
Drop-off times are weekdays 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
All other non-perishable food donations can be dropped off at any Twin Cities Salvation Army worship and service center.
