Lowry Tunnel Reopens After Milk Tanker Crash

A milk tanker overturned on I-94 eastbound Wednesday around 11:15 a.m., spilling milk across the roadway. 

Both eastbound and westbound lanes of I-94 closed at the Lowry Tunnel following the crash. The roadway has since reopened.

According to Lt. Eric Roeske with the Minnesota State Patrol, the tanker was headed westbound on I-94 when it hit the median and overturned into eastbound lanes. At least three other vehicles were involved.

The truck driver and one other person have been hospitalized. The State Patrol says no serious injuries have been reported.
