Investigation Continues After Teen Found Dead at Maplewood Park

Maplewood police are searching for witnesses after a 16-year-old girl was found dead in a park early Saturday morning.

Police found the body of North St. Paul resident Anna Hurd on a walking path in the area of McKnight Road and Ripley Avenue at Hillside Park in Maplewood.

According to an autopsy by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office, Hurd’s death was the result of several stabbing-type puncture wounds. 

Police say they are processing evidence and are searching for witnesses.

Residents who may have heard or seen suspicious activity in the area on Saturday between 1 and 4 a.m. are asked to call Maplewood Police at 651-767-0640.
