Maplewood Homicide Victim Identified

Maplewood police are investigating an early morning homicide.

Authorities say it happened around 4:30 Saturday morning. Police found the body of 16-year-old Anna Hurd of North St. Paul on a walking path in the area of McKnight Road and Ripley Avenue in Maplewood.

An autopsy by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office shows Ms. Hurd’s death was the result of several stabbing-type puncture wounds. 

Police also say they are no longer looking for a suspect but they did not say if that is because they have someone in custody.
