Drop-In Center for Homeless Youth to Open in Anoka County
It's a first of its kind center in Anoka county that will cater to hundreds of homeless youth.
Hope 4 Youth will be a safe haven for teens and young adults, a place they can shower, get clothes and food, and job training.
In just over three months volunteers came up with the idea and will open this facility at 2665 4th Avenue North in Anoka on March 4th.
More than 500 homeless youth have been counted in Anoka county, about 100 of those are unaccompanied, meaning they are all alone, without their families.
The grassroots effort is run 100% by volunteers, and those involved say it will only stay open with the publics help.
