U.S. Post Office Hiring 400 Carriers in Twin Cities
The U.S. Postal Service is hiring approximately 400 city carrier assistants to deliver mail in Minneapolis, St. Paul and surrounding suburbs, the agency announced Tuesday.
Starting pay for the positions begins at $15 an hour with benefits, including vacation days, salary increases and the potential for future healthcare.
The jobs are for 360 consecutive days.
Applicants must be able to work flexible shifts Monday through Saturday. The number of hours worked will depend on mail volume.
The jobs could lead to future employment as a full-time city carrier with career status, the agency reports.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old at the time of hire, and be a U.S. citizen or have permanent alien status. Carrier positions also require a valid driver's license and at least two years of documented driving experience.
The deadline to apply is 11:59 a.m. Monday.
Those interested can apply online at the postal service website.
