Suspect in 60 Metro Burglaries Arrested

Authorities are investigating a man suspected of burglarizing as many as 60 businesses across the metro, including several in Eden Prairie.

Police arrested the 41-year-old man Sunday in Shoreview following a chase, Eden Prairie police reported. The pursuit started while officers were conducting a surveillance operation.

According to the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office, an investigation by Eden Prairie police led deputies to arresting Brian Stefan Williams, of Minneapolis, shortly before noon Sunday.

Williams is being held in the Ramsey County Jail on suspicion of felony charges of burglary and fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, records show.

An Eden Prairie spokeswoman Monday declined to comment further on the case because the investigation is ongoing.
