New Center Brings 'Size, Experience and Grit' to Minnesota Wild

The Minnesota Wild is shaking up its lineup with a new center.

The team acquired 33-year-old Mike Rupp from the New York Rangers.

According to Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher, "Rupp is a big guy who has won the Stanley Cup. He brings size, experience and grit to our lineup."

The Wild traded forwards 27-year-old Darroll Powe and 23-year-old Nick Palmieri in exchange for Rupp.

The Wild take on the Phoenix Coyotes in Arizona Monday night at 8 p.m.
