Fast Food Chains 'Meat' Standards

Burger King says it's stopped buying beef from an Irish meat processor because traces of horse meat were found in some of that company's burgers.
    
The company, Silvercrest, was forced to recall burgers from supermarket shelves in Britain and Ireland after horse DNA was detected.
    
Burger King has voluntarily stopped buying from them.
     
If you've scarfed a whopper recently don't worry, the patties were not used at restaurants in the U.S.

And Mcdonald's says it will be the first national restaurant chain to carry a label from a group that certifies sustainable fishing practices.

It's an "Eco-Label" from the Marine Stewardship Council.
    
It certifies the Alaskan Pollack used in Mcdonald's filet-o-fish sandwiches come from suppliers with sustainable fishing practices.
