Mpls. Father Charged in Son's Shooting Death Released

Jail records indicate a Minneapolis father charged in the shooting death of his young son has been released from custody.

Prosecutors say Kao Xiong kept several loaded, unsecured guns throughout his Minneapolis home.

They say Xiong's four-year-old son got ahold of one of those guns and shot and killed his two-year-old son, Neeg, earlier this month.

Xiong faces felony charges of second degree manslaughter and endangerment of a child.

His next court date is set for Jan. 25.
