Cell Phone Apps Collecting Personal Information

Is your child's privacy being invaded? If your child has a cell phone it's possible.

The Federal Trade Commission is investigating software companies that make cell phone apps to see if they're collecting personal information from the phones. They would then share that information with advertisers and data brokers.

Some apps can capture a child's location, phone numbers of their friends and more.

The FTC did not specify which companies it is looking into.
