Black Friday Shopping Creeps into Thursday...Even Wednesday

You might be able to do your Black Friday shopping on Thursday...even Wednesday this year.  Last year, many retailers were criticized for opening at midnight on Thanksgiving.  This year, some stores are opening even earlier. 

Retailers like Kmart and Toys R Us are opening at 8:00 on Thanksgiving night.  And Kohl's is hoping to hook consumers even earlier:  the retailer is putting up it's online doorbusters at midnight on Wednesday, November 21st.

 

This trend is due to the fact that retailers are going after younger shoppers who like to stay up late... as opposed to the traditional post-Thanksgiving shoppers who wake up early on Friday.
