Waterloo Holds Minneapolis Man Sought in Double Homicide

Waterloo police are holding a Minnesota man wanted for questioning after two people were found stabbed to death at his home in Minneapolis.
The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports 21-year-old Ishmael Roberts was charged Monday night with second-degree theft, leaving the scene of an accident, and failure to maintain control of a vehicle in connection with the crash of a stolen car.
Minneapolis police detectives, who are investigating the death of a Liberian immigrant and her grandson, arrived in Waterloo late Monday.
Waterloo police Lt. Michael McNamee says officers have recovered evidence and turned it over to Minnesota authorities.
Roberts' Minneapolis address is the same home where the bodies of 57-year-old Beatrice Wilson and her grandson were found early Monday.
Roberts has no attorney yet assigned to his case.
