4 Wounded in Shooting Outside Mpls. Bar

Minneapolis police are investigating a shooting that wounded four people early Saturday morning.

Authorities say two women and two men were shot outside the Red Sea Bar and Restaurant on Cedar Avenue south. The victims' injuries are considered non-life threatening, but one woman suffered a possible grazing wound to the head.

Officers arrived around 2 a.m. to find the bar crowd scattering.

Police Sgt. Stephen McCarty says bouncers were trying to eject a crowd of people using a chemical spray when someone opened fire outside the bar.

The owner says the music varies each night and Friday night it was hip hop. He also says every patron is screened for weapons as they enter.

No arrests have been made in the case.

Police say there have been more than 25 calls for service at the bar over the last year.
