Authorities Discover More than 60 Cats in Duluth Home

Duluth authorities have discovered a major case of cat hoarding.
Police say they’ve taken more than 60 cats and kittens out of a home. The cats are being checked out at the animal control shelter. Most are pretty healthy, but the kittens have some respiratory problems.
The owner has been cooperating with officers. He says he’s been taking in cats for about seven years.
A city building inspector alerted animal control after noticing a lot of cats in the yard. The owner had not been living in the home after this summer’s floods.
