Personal Insults Fly In Ellison, Fields Debate
A debate between 5th District Congressman Keith Ellison and his Republican challenger Chris Fields was reduced to a bout of vicious name-calling.
The two candidates debated on KFAI radio, their third broadcast debate in the past week. All of the debates have become heated. The radio debate on Thursday was contentious from the start, but the name-calling began after Fields accused Ellison and the DFL Party of digging up his divorce records.
Another heated debate between Ellison and Fields took place a few days ago in the 5 Eyewitness News studios. Highlights of that debate can be seen on "At Issue" this Sunday morning at 10 a.m. The full debate will be aired on KSTC Ch. 45 on November 4th at 4 p.m.
