Police Report Provides Chilling Details in Mpls. Shooting

Chilling details emerge as police release full public report.

The 141 page report includes interviews with witnesses and survivors of the rampage at Accent Signage Systems last week in Minneapolis.

In all, six people were killed including the gunman, Andy Engeldinger, who shot himself in the head.

Records indicate after Engeldinger was told he had been fired he said, "Oh really.." and began shooting.

Documents detail several survivors who came face to face with Engeldinger but, for some reason, were spared.

The report also shows the immense amount of stress police were under. Despite finding Engeldinger dead in the dark basement, police did not know if he had acted alone or whether there were other gunmen hiding.

One officer recognized Engeldinger as a regular at the Burnsville gun range. The officer reported Engeldinger appeared to be trying to become proficient with a 9mm handgun for much of 2012.

A search of the suspect's home revealed a bag containing a gun, rounds of ammunition, and shooting range targets. Police also say they found prescription medication, vitamin bottles, and beer cans. They also say they discovered an email warning Engeldinger about showing up late for work.
