A Minnesota State Trooper was charged with a DWI in St. Louis County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Nick Morse of Two Harbors was arrested for driving while impaired Wednesday.

At the time of his arrest, Morse had driven his squad car from his home to an in-service training at the Minnesota State Patrol district office in Duluth.

A supervisor noticed an odor of alcohol coming from Morse. He was given a field sobriety test, and was taken to St. Louis County Jail where he took a breath test.

The breath test registered an alcohol concentration of .08, which is the legal limit in Minnesota. He was booked into jail, and given a citation for 4th Degree DUI.
