Wis. Parents Appear in Court in Daughter's Death
Two Burnett County parents charged in the drowning death of their young daughter appeared in court Wednesday.
When 3-year-old Reena Williams wandered away from her home in Danbury last month, dozens of volunteers joined authorities in their search for the girl. Her body was found in a canal near her house.
Arrest warrants were issued for Thomas Williams and Jenna Danish on charges of felony neglect. Burnett County sheriff's officials say Williams and Danish turned themselves in on Sunday.
In court Wednesday, a preliminary hearing was scheduled for Oct. 31.
If convicted, they could face more than two decades in prison.
