Fire Departments Take Firefighter Memorial Sculpture to Capitol

Eleven fire departments are escorting the Minnesota Fallen Firefighter Sculpture to the state capitol Tuesday.
The sculpture was hardened in Howard Lake. The crews will take it from there to St. Paul by way of I-394 to I-94, through the Lowry Tunnel, then to the capitol, where much of the memorial is already in place.
The crews leave at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. On Sunday from 2 p.m until 4 p.m. there will be a formal dedication for the memorial at the capitol.
