Newport Family Celebrates Daughter's Gift of Life
A group of motorcyclist rev their hogs as they arrive at the 2nd annual "Donate Life Run in Memory of Kaitlyn Berg. Marlene Seerup is Kaitlyn's mom.

"My daughter Kaitlyn was killed in an auto accident about 11 years ago, she was four,"
Seerup said.
At the time of Kaitlyn's death Berg says, her and her husband Mike decided to turn their tragedy into a life giving experience by donating her organs.
"She donated her heart, liver and kidney's to save three other people," Seerup said.
13 year old Parker Milbarth is one of those three people. He says, he was two when he got Kaitlyn's liver.
"My liver wasn't functioning right, " Parker said.
Parker met Kaitlyn's mother Marlene four years ago. He says, he's been given a chance at life.
"I'm doing great, schools going good and I played baseball," Parker said.
For two years running Milbarth and Berg, and everyone you see here gather to celebrate the young life of Kaitlyn Berg. At the same time they raise money for Lifesource, the company that arranged the transplants. Berg says, putting together this fund raiser is her way of healing because the heartache of losing a child never goes away.
"Life gets easier because you learn to adapt your life style to the change that's been made but the memory is always there," Seerup said.
