EmailNorth Loop Makes 'America's Hippest Neighborhoods' List
The North Loop neighborhood in Minneapolis is getting national attention on the list of 'America's Hippest Hipster Neighborhoods.'
Forbes worked with Nextdoor.com to compile the list by researching data on more than 250 neighborhoods across the country.
Factors considered in the rankings include 'walkability, number of neighborhood coffee shops, number of local food trucks, frequency of farmers markets, number of local bars and restaurants; and percentage of residents who work in artistic occupations.'
The North Loop also known as the Warehouse District was ranked number 12 on the list.
The list praises the North Loop where, "Large warehouses have been converted to apartments, boutiques and restaurants in recent years. Bike trails, a park and an arts collective Traffic Zone Center for Visual Art also boost the hipness quotient."
