Witnesses helped St. Croix County sheriff's deputies find the driver accused of hitting and killing a woman near Hudson.
Eighty-four-year-old Lucille Hansen, of Roberts, was hit on county Road TT Wednesday afternoon and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities say witnesses gave deputies a description of the fleeing car and the direction it was headed.
A 36-year-old man driving a 1997 Ford Taurus was arrested a short time later. The St. Paul Pioneer Press says the Wisconsin State Patrol assisted at the scene.
