The home is where seniors are most likely to fall. In fact, therapists say bathrooms are one of the most dangerous places in a senior's home.
Grab bars can lessen the risk of falling in the bathroom. So can runner bottomed rugs. Other modifications like lever-handled doors can aid seniors with arthritis in their hands. Painting stair steps different contrasts can also reduce risk.
