Washington Co. Conducts Mock Riverboat Crash to Test Emergency Preparedness
Washington County conducted a large scale emergency preparedness test Thursday afternoon.
The county staged a riverboat disaster on the Saint Croix River in Stillwater. 100 volunteers were on the boat as part of a mock wedding party. More than 200 police, fire, and emergency personal from both sides of the river took part.
The county will review the training exercise and send the results to the federal government.
The exercise was funded with Homeland Security grants.
