Driver Survives Being Hit by Train in Wright County

A garbage truck collided with a freight train in Wright County Tuesday morning. A spokesperson for the Sheriff's Office said his injuries "did not appear to be life threatening."
The crash happened at 6:30 a.m. at 5th Street Southeast in Rockford Township. That's just southeast of Buffalo.
The spokesperson said the person who called the county's Communications Center said the truck was headed westbound on 5th and was struck by a train traveling southeast.
No injuries were reported on board the Canadian Pacific train.
"The driver of the garbage truck was airlifted to Mercy Hospital by Life Link Air Ambulance," said the spokesperson.
On Tuesday afternoon, the Sheriff's Office released the name of the driver. He is 41-year-old Sean Michael Conway of St. Cloud.
The Buffalo Fire Department, Allina Ambulance and the Minnesota State Patrol also assisted at the scene.
