EmailStillwater Lift Bridge Closes And Businesses Have A Plan To Keep Busy
The lift bridge will not re-open to cars, for the next three months. There are an estimated 2-thousand vehicles that cross the Stillwater lift bridge every day and they bring a lot of money with them. So, now downtown merchants are coming up with ways to convince local residents to rediscover Stillwater. They hope the lighter traffic will convince more "locals" to hang out in downtown a little more.
But, the businesses have also agreed to stay open a little later, with the hope it will convince people to shop and eat a little bit more. MN-Dot is closing the bridge for repairs.
