Twin Cities Habitat Launches Veterans Outreach

Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity is starting a new effort to help military veterans find affordable housing.

On Monday, the organization will work with veterans repairing the Minneapolis home of a wounded Iraq War veteran.

Sgt. Brian Neill served in the National Guard for 23 years. Neill suffered extensive injuries during his tours in Iraq.

The project is part of the National Day of Service, created to mark the anniversary of the Sept. 11th attacks.

Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity says it is looking to help veterans and their families with housing issues. The organization is looking to partner with veterans who need home repairs, foreclosure counseling or are interested in becoming Habitat homebuyers.
