Email1 Hurt as Beams Fall in Eden Prairie Building Zone
A man is hospitalized after a structure collapse in Eden Prairie Saturday morning.
The man was working in a scissors lift at an indoor soccer complex around 11:40 a.m. on the 7000 block of Washington Avenue when the steel beams came crashing down. It’s not yet clear what caused the incident.
Officials from the Eden Prairie Police Department say the structure didn’t trap the man or pin him, but because he was in the lift they had to help him get out.
The man was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Six workers were there at the time.
