Relief Money Heading to Areas Affected by Floods

Just three days after the governor signed the bill, millions of dollars are already on the way to help counties hit by June floods.
The Board of Water and Soil Resources will start issuing up to $12.5 million in grants. That money will be used to repair flood damage lands, streams and infrastructure. Examples of projects that will take place include stream channel restoration and stabilizing landslide areas that threaten property.
In a special session, the legislature passed a $167 million relief package last Friday.
