Fosle to Run as Write-In for Minn. House Seat

Duluth City Councilor Jay Fosle has entered the race for state representative following recent news of an alleged sexual encounter between state Rep. Kerry Gauthier and a 17-year-old boy.
Gauthier is a first-term Democratic lawmaker from Duluth. He's up for re-election in November.
The Duluth News Tribune obtained police records showing that Gauthier was investigated for allegedly having oral sex with the boy. Gauthier won't be charged.
Fosle told the News Tribune he filed paperwork Friday to run as a write-in candidate against Gauthier and Republican Travis Silver.
Gauthier didn't immediately respond to an email message from The Associated Press. His home voicemail was full.
Gauthier was elected in 2010 with 73 percent of the vote. House Speaker Kurt Zellers, a Republican, has called on him to resign.
