Denver, Colo. police are searching for a man accused of unleashing a pit bull mix on a bride at her wedding reception and then beating her with brass knuckles.
ABC News reports the bride, Brittany Cortez, says Joel Nevarez came to a home where she was having her wedding reception, and unleashed the dog on her.
"The whole time he just stood there and laughed. He punched me in the face and the back of the head with brass knuckles," said Cortez.
Cortez ended up with stitches on her back and shoulder from where the dog latched on. Her husband Jorge also had bruises from the dog after he tried to stop it.
Cortez says she invited Nevarez to the wedding, "I was afraid if I didn't, he would do something worse."
Nevarez and Cortez were once friends. She says he's jealous she's moving on with her life.
