Minneapolis Police Investigate 2 Overnight Shootings

Minneapolis Police are investigating two shootings overnight.

Police say one person is dead after being shot on Dupont Avenue North near North Lowry Avenue. The shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. inside a home.

Police are questioning people but don’t have suspects or any arrests right now. No other information has been released.

The death is the 18th homicide this year in Minneapolis.

Also, Minneapolis Police say someone shot a man in the leg and then ran off around 1 a.m. near 45th and Xerxes Avenue North.

The victim was transferred to North Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police are still looking for the shooter.
