Email33-Year-Old Wisconsin Man Dies in Polk Co. Crash
A 33-year-old rural Luck, Wisconsin man is dead after a two vehicle crash in Polk County.
According to the Polk County Sheriff's, 46-year-old Laura Fairchild of rural St. Croix Falls was driving a SUV westbound on County Highway N when it collided with a car driven by Jonathan Hawkins.
According to authorities, Hawkins' car entered onto the roadway from a stop sign at County Highway Z. The car crossed into the path of the SUV, and the vehicles crashed.
Hawkins was pronounced dead at the scene. Fairchild was extricated from the SUV and taken to St. Croix Regional Medical Center.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the Polk County Sheriff and Medical Examiners Offices.
