1 Dead, 2 Injured in North Minneapolis Shooting
One man is dead and two others are injured in a shooting in north Minneapolis.
Police say the shooting happened about 11 p.m. Wednesday. Responding officers found three adult males who apparently had been shot on the 3600 block of Girard Avenue North.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim was transported to the Hennepin County Medical Center for a non-life threatening injury. A third man was treated at the scene.
There are no suspects in custody.
Wednesday's shooting is the 10th homicide of the year in the 4th precinct and the 17th homicide citywide.
At this time last year, there had been 3 homicides in the 4th precinct and 16 in all of Minneapolis.
Neighbors in North Minneapolis say they won't put up with violence on their streets.
Neighbors are planning to walk every block in the north side neighborhood Thursday evening for the 'Enough is Enough' program.
