Email2 Minnesotans Hurt in Canadian Small Plane Crash
Two Minnesotans have been seriously injured when their small plane crashed trying to take off in Canada.
Ontario Provincial Police were called about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday about a plane going down in the bush north of Kenora, Ontario.
Authorities say the Cessna 180 was trying to take off from a camp on Trout Lake when it crashed. The pilot - a 78-year-old man - and a 62-year-old woman were hurt. Another passenger, a 44-year-old man, was not injured.
All three are from Cloquet, Minn. The pilot is being transferred to a hospital in Thunder Bay, Ontario, while the woman is being taken to Duluth, Minn.
The Transportation Safety Board will investigate.
