Email1 Killed, 4 Injured in South Mpls. House Fire
One person is dead and four others injured after a three-alarm fire at a Minneapolis home early Saturday.
Crews were called to the two and half story house at 2812 1st Avenue South sh
ortly after 4:30 a.m.
Firefighters rescued two people from a third floor window and discovered three others inside.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene. Four others were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, where their conditions were unknown Saturday evening.
No firefighters were injured.
Authorities believe the people inside the home were sleeping at the time of the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
