Vikings’ Jerome Felton to Make Court Appearance on DWI Charge

A new face on the Vikings roster is set to appear in Hennepin County Court Wednesday...

Twenty-six-year-old running back Jerome Felton was pulled over last month in Eden Prairie because police suspected he was driving while intoxicated.

Felton is facing two gross misdemeanors – a DWI and refusal to take the DWI test.

Felton apologized at an optional practice four days after Eden Prairie police arrested him. In his apology, he was contrite, saying he regretted bringing some negative attention to his new team. Vikings coach Leslie Frazier says he was "extremely disappointed" when notified of Felton's arrest. Frazier met with Felton to discuss the incident that week.

Frazier says he has been stressing the importance of being responsible in the community with the entire team.

Felton signed a one-year free agent contract with the Vikings in March after spending last season with Carolina and Indianapolis.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
