Wright County Crash Kills Two
A crash south of Annandale killed two people Tuesday afternoon.
The Wright County Sheriff reports a 911 call came in to his office at 4:14 p.m. Emergency crews responded to the 5800 block of County Road 5 Northwest in Albion Township..
"Upon arrival, first responders located a 2011 Chevrolet Impala on its side in the west ditch," said the Sheriff. "Initial investigation indicates that the vehicle was northbound on County Road 5, went off the roadway into teh west ditch, hit a driveway approach, went airborne and landed on its side."
Both occupants died at the scene. The Sheriff said the driver was 88-year-old Gordon Robinson. The passenger was his wife, 87-year-old Louise Robinson. They lived in Annandale.
The Sheriff said both were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
He said Annandale firefighters and Allina Ambulance also responded to the scene.
