EmailFired Florida Lifeguard Given Key to the City
The Florida lifeguard fired after saving a man was honored by his hometown.
Tomas Lopez was given the key to the city yesterday in Hallandale Beach. He also talked with the man he saved, a 21-year-old from Estonia.
Lopez was fired because he left his zone during the rescue. He was offered his job back but declined.
