Missing Forest Lake Boater Identified
Twenty-four people have drowned in Minnesota so far this year, according to the Department of Natural Resources. Yesterday, the Washington County Sheriff’s Water Patrol began searching for a man who could be the 25th.
The missing man has been identified as 51-year-old Tod Alan Crawford.
Officials say they found a dog swimming in Forest Lake Number One and an unoccupied pontoon boat just before 4 p.m. Monday. The pontoon was on near the 6800 block of North Shore Trail.
The wife of the boat owner was contacted, and police confirmed that a Forest Lake man is missing. Water patrol officials searched until late last night but were not able to find anyone. They are out searching again today.
The Minnesota State Patrol Aircraft was also asked to conduct an air search, and the Forest Lake Fire Department was asked to conduct a water search.
