4 Children Injured in Southern Minn. Campfire Explosion
Four children were hospitalized Friday night after a campfire reportedly exploded in southern Minnesota.
The Houston County Sheriff's Office says the incident was reported around 9:20 p.m. at the Money Creek Haven Campground in Houston.
According to authorities, the children were injured when an adult member of their camping party poured accelerant on a smoldering fire.
A 4-year-old girl was airlifted to Regions Hospital in St. Paul. Three other children were taken to a La Crosse hospital; one of them was transported by air.
Their conditions were not available Saturday afternoon.
A man at the scene refused transport.
