For the first time since the Twins made Byron Buxton the second overall pick in the Major League Baseball draft, Byron Buxton appeared in the stadium Twins fans hope he'll eventually play in.
During his visit to Target Field, Buxton donned a Twins jersey to take some batting cage reps, run the bases and mill around with the current players on the field before their game against the Phillies.
The recent high school graduate was making the trip to the Twin Cities to undergo a physical and continue negotiations on a contract both sides say is close to completion.
