Warm Winter May Impact Rest Of Your Year

The fourth warmest winter on record may have an impact on your wallet, health, and your safety.

While a warm winter has been tough for contractors and plow drivers who depend on the snow, it may have a positive effect overall.

Lower utility bills will allow people to pay down debt and could increase consumer spending later this year. That would also likely translate into higher tax receipts for the state.

Reduced spring flood risks and a spike in the deer population are also expected after a warm winter.

However, it's not all rosy.

The spring allergy season started two months early and an increase in fire danger this spring is also expected.
