Minn. Couple Changes Wedding Plans for Football Game

Charmagne Tessmer and Aaron Derichs got married Saturday, but not before a little change in their plans.

Tessmer's brother Ivan plays left guard for the Eden Valley-Watkins Eagles and had a playoff game at the Metrodome Saturday night at 5:45 p.m.

The wedding was supposed to start 3 p.m at the College of St. Benedict.

But, Charmagne insisted on seeing his game, so the couple changed the wedding to 11 a.m.

"I just thought it was awesome that she's willing to change everything for me. I thought it was pretty cool," said Ivan Tessmer.

The couple notified guests of the last-minute change Sunday night, and everyone seemed to take it in stride.

"It's a lot of fun. You get to see everybody. You have a wedding in the morning and a game in the afternoon. How much more fun can you have with your kids?" said father-of-the-bride, Dan Tessmer.

As for the game on Saturday night, Charmagne said there was no pressure for Ivan to win.
